CCI Receives Top Awards in Statewide Print Competition

HARTLAND, WI – April 29, 2011

CCI received an Award for Best of Category and two Awards of Excellence in the 11th Annual Graphics Excellence Awards, a statewide competition hosted by the Printing Industries of Wisconsin, the state’s trade association for printing and the graphic arts. Competing against 800 exceptional entries from printing and graphic arts firms across the state, CCI received a Badger ‐ Best in Category Award in the Magazine Insert Category for a digitally printed, full color Estee Lauder insert. CCI/CoakleyTech was also awarded two Awards of
Excellence. One in the Digital Color category for the same magazine insert and another in the Customized/Personalized/Variable Data Digital Printing category for Kohler custom invitations.
“We are very proud of our winning team,” said Chris Illman, President. “It’s an honor to be recognized by the industry as a company that produces top quality, award winning materials.”
Joseph Lyman, PIW’s President, believes the quality of Graphics Excellence Awards submissions was evident in this year’s competition. He says, “The print projects we received were simply amazing. Technology is certainly helping Wisconsin’s Printing Industry achieve greater efficiency, but the print craftsmanship behind the projects was apparent. Congratulations to CCI and their
employees’ commitment to producing the best in print.”
The GEAs recognize those responsible for the creation and production of print communications in Wisconsin. The competition promotes excellence in print communications and rewards companies and individuals who produce the best in print media. PIW is the state’s graphic arts trade association, representing an industry with more than 36,000 employees and over $6 billion in annual sales (2010 Print Market Atlas).
